Social Studies
In the Christina School District, social studies education prepares students to be informed, engaged citizens in a diverse and changing world. Guided by the Delaware Social Studies Standards, students explore civics, geography, history, and economics to develop critical thinking, inquiry, and problem-solving skills. Through the study of democratic principles, global connections, historical perspectives, and economic decision-making, students learn to analyze complex issues, consider multiple viewpoints, and understand their roles in their communities and beyond. Our social studies program empowers students to participate thoughtfully in civic life and apply their learning to real-world challenges.
